Glebelands City Growers

My journey really began in December 2014 (8th to be precise) with a short visit to  Glebelands City Growers in Sale on the outskirts of Manchester. Here Charlotte, Alan and Adam have formed a workers co-operative through which they cultivate some 2 acres or so of land which in days gone by was a council owned nursery. They now grow  a range of salad and vegetable crops, the majority of which are destined for the people of Manchester through Unicorn, specialist wholefood shop, and the travelling Veg People van. Crammed in between the houses and registered organic with the Soil Association, Glebelands is a wonderful example of sustainable food production in an urban environment.
