A bit chuffed by the announcement from International Photography Awards™, that I have been awarded the runner place in the 2017 non-professional editorial/environment category with a group of five images from Feeding Body and Soul.
International Photography Awards are an independent awards organisation based in Los Angeles whose claim the mission ‘to salute the achievements of the world’s finest photographers, to discover new and emerging talent, and to promote the appreciation of photography’. The organisation conducts an annual competition for professional, non-professional, and student photographers on a global scale, creating what is one of the most ambitious and comprehensive competitions in the photography world today. Sadly shooting off the New York (yes New York!!0 to collect the award personally was a bit out of the question since the awards night had gone by before I got round to reading the email!!!!!!
The book, Unlikely Heroes, also got an ‘Honourable Mention’ in the Self-Published Documentary section.
